A 'Wild' Birthday Party :)

Guess who's turning 10??! Natalie!! And to help celebrate this occasion, Natalie's mom requested 2 orders: a cake for her Family party and a cake for her Friend's party.  Iced had a fun time creating both!! With the theme of Zebra stripes and bright fun colours for both cakes, the outcome was 'WILD'!!! Both cakes were Chocolate Cake and iced with Vanilla Buttercream Icing. Happy Birthday Natalie and thanks for allowing Iced Cake Co. to be a part of your Birthday :)

A 'Smack Down' Birthday!

Last week I had a request to make a cake for a boy by the name of Nicholas.  His request: a Wrestling Ring Cake!! Now, This was one of my more difficult cakes in the sense of picturing the design in my head, but having to translate that into a cake.  Thankfully my brainstorming was able to create this neat cake and was loved by the Birthday Boy!! Happy Birthday Nicholas!!

Happy Birthday Daley!

This weekend I was asked to make the sweet treats for my co-workers daughter's birthday party.  She loves blues, purples and greens and so a theme of coloured polka dots and flowers was a great idea!! A Vanilla and Chocolate pull-a-part cake iced with Vanilla buttercream icing was the centerpiece for this party!! Happy Birthday Daley :)

A 'Sweet' Baby Shower!

This weekend I was asked to provide cupcakes for a baby shower that a friend was hosting.  The request was for Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes with Buttercream icing and decorated with fondant flowers.  Iced had fun baking and icing and decorating to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a little one!!

L-E-G-O my cupcake!!

This past weekend a little boy needed some sweets at his birthday party, and Iced Cake Co. was asked to help out!  He loves Lego, so these cupcakes were Vanilla and Chocolate with Vanilla Buttercream icing and topped with little fondant Lego pieces!!  What a fun birthday party :) Glad Iced Cake Co. was able to be a part of it!!

Cupcakes, Cakes and MUFFINS too!

About a month ago, my husband helped a friend out and as part of his thanks, was baked some delicious blueberry crumble muffins. Of course, he came home with the recipe :)  I decided to try them this weekend, and added raspberries as well.  These muffins are to die for!! And not only are they delicious and moist, they look great too :) Thanks, Maria for the recipe!!

Happy 4th Birthday!!

These cupcakes were baked to celebrate the 4th birthday of my cousin's son, Holden.  He loves lemon cupcakes so 'Iced' made lemon cupcakes with lemon buttercream frosting and decorated the cupcakes with '4' fondant decorations.  What a sweet way to celebrate a birthday.  Happy Birthday Holden!

Moo! Oink! Cluck Cluck!

For my cousin's daughter's birthday this year, she requested a 'Farm Cake', so that is what she got!!! The 3 year old loves coming from the city to the country to visit 'Uncle Roger's Chickens' and play on the farm.  This cake was a chocolate cake iced with vanilla buttercream icing and decorated with fondant decorations to make her dreams come true!! Happy Birthday Ashley!

An 'Hoot' of a Baby Shower!

My cousin was hosting a baby shower for her girlfriend who was expecting a little girl and had decorated her nursery with an owl theme, so keeping the theme for the shower seemed fitting!! A chocolate cake iced with vanilla buttercream and wrapped in fondant was enjoyed by all!! Chocolate mini cupcakes were given as favours, sending the guests home with a little something sweet!

For Valentine's Day this year, a couple of friend's of mine decided they would like to surprise their boyfriend's with some sugar cookies decorated like the traditional Valentine's candies. The treats were a sweet way to show their love!

Flower Power!

This Birthday Celebration was for a friend's mother's 50th, so the theme of bright. funky, and fun was very fitting.  Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes were topped with vanilla buttercream icing and decorating with fondant flowers and sugar crystals.  Happy Birthday!

A Bundle of Sweet Joy!

In January, my sister-in-law was due to have her first bundle of joy!! At the time, the sex of the baby was kept a secret, so the theme for her shower was soft colours of white and green and yellow.  These baby shower sugar cookies were in attendance and enjoyed by all!
